Plaza on Sunday Sunday nights, after 8:00 mass,the plaza truly comes to life with street stands selling local treats: tacos "al pastor", tamales, "churros" (long skinny donuts), fresh potato chips, or hot steamed garbanzo beans.

The Malecon Jocotepec is very proud of its latest, lakeside novelty. The malecon (boardwalk) with its bright red benches, tall palm trees, spouting fish fountains and pontoon excursion boat has opened up a new realm of activity for locals and visitors alike.

 

Bird watching Perfect for morning water bird watching, an afternoon stroll, or a sunset boat ride on the lake with piano music and drinks. You may just see a performance of folk dancing or an agricultural fair.
