Life at Los Dos Mi casa es tu casa ....... My home is yours During your stay at Los Dos, you will waken to birds singing, donkeys braying, rockets celebrating a fiesta or saint's day, or perhaps the distinctive zeta gaaaaas of the truck selling bottled gas. Linger over a generous breakfast on the veranda with your host, Phyllis. She loves to share her and Georg's stories about 30 years of living in and loving Mexico. She'll also be happy to make suggestions for your Mexican holiday or permanent transplantation to Mexico!
Relax by the Pool Lounge by the pool with a good book (many available onsite), hike the mountain (a bird watcher's delight), explore the village on foot, or venture out to the surrounding countryside by car. Some of our guests enjoy hoofing it the 15 minutes into the town of Jocotepec, while others catch an occasional ride with Phyllis.
Transportation Options Taxis are available at the village square, and a small shuttle bus stops at the foot of the hill. Buses to other lakeside villages pass by on the highway every half hour. Some guests arrive with their own cars, or auto rentals can be arranged at the airport upon or prior to arrival.
Art Studio on Site Visits to Georg Rauch's art studio are welcomed,. There you may look through a large collection of the artist's oils, prints, drawings, watercolors and the newest giclee reproductions on canvas.
Small Pets Welcome You are welcome to bring along your small to medium sized dog. If your pets remain at home, the Rauch menagerie of dogs and cats are waiting and eager for petting or play.
Enjoy the Garden and the Sunset Later in the day, after exploring our village, shopping, checking out the local real estate market, or visiting other nearby towns, it's nice to come back home, stroll through Phyllis' garden, watch the sunset with a margarita, or count the stars from your balcony .
